Introduction to Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)
You use MAX to perform the following actions with your National Instruments measurement and SCXI devices:
- Configure resources and other device-specific settings for measurement devices in your system
- Test the resources and the functionality of measurement devices in your system
- Add and remove a measurement or SCXI device
MAX informs other NI programs which products you have in your system and how they are configured. When you run an application using NI-DAQ, the software reads the configuration to determine which devices you have configured.
